Our family irrigates on a daily basis, and over the years we have developed our favorite saline solution. And we would like to share this recipe with you, as a saline solution to help you benefit from nasal irrigation.
Non-iodized salt, distilled water, a clean two cup liquid measuring cup, and a teaspoon measure.
Instructions:
Measure two cups of distilled water, add one teaspoon of non-iodized salt per 2 cups of distilled water.
Warm the solution to a temperature between 95 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
Stir well, until all of the salt has dissolved.
Irrigate with your irrigation devise and Ethicare irrigation instrument while the water remains between the specified temperatures given previously.
Please be aware that if you have received medical instruction to ensure a ‘sterile’ method for the solution composition that this does not meet ‘medically sterile’ definition.
If you are in question about the saline solution that you should be using for your sinus irrigation, please consult with a physician or qualified medical professional.
