Instructions for use
General Hydro-Flotm Instructions
> Plug the Power Plug from the Power
Supply into the Power Connector on the
Hydro-Flotm. Then plug the Power Supply into
a 110-120 V.AC Wall Power Outlet (or into a 220 V. AC power outlet
with the 220V. Power Supply if in a 220 V.AC country).
Note: Always unplug the Power Supply from the
Hydro-Flotm when tot in use.
> To turn the Hydro-Flotm
ON turn the Power Switch Knob Clock-wise.
> To turn the Hydro-Flotm OFF
turn the Power Switch Knob Counter-Clock-wise.
> The Filler Cap is equipped with Knob
Wings to allow proper grip to open and tightly close the Filler Cap.
This cap must be tightly seated to allow the Air Cushion to be
most effective.
Unscrewing the Filler Cap 1/2 to 1 turn will release the
Air Cushion, which will immediately stop the solution flow.
> A twisting motion when installing and removing
the Irrigator to and from the handpiece will insure a proper fit and
seal.
> The Air Cushioned flow is controlled by the
Control Knob on the Handpiece. Turn clockwise to reduce or
shut off the flow, and counter clockwise to increase the flow. After
installing the Irrigation Instrument in the Handpiece, adjust the
solution stream with the Irrigation Instrument over the sink,
directed away from you.
>When the desired stream intensity is reached,
press the Stop Flow Button on the top of the Control
Knob to temporarily shut off the liquid flow.
Rotate the Irrigator tip into the proper direction for the
irrigation instrument installed. Proceed to Irrigate or Lavage as
described in the sections for Nasal - Throat Irrigation and Dental
Lavage usage.
When treatment is completed ( if the Hydro-Flo™
begins to sputter or pulsate, stop the treatment at once), press the
Stop Flow Button and face the instrument into the sink. Remove
the instrument and fully open the Control Knob and hold until
the reservoir is emptied. (All solution should be removed after each
use.) The Control Knob should be left in the open position
until the next use, when the stream is once again adjusted.
> To periodically clean out the Hydro-Flo™: 1.
Fill with an Alcohol or Antiseptic Solution. 2. Shake gently. 3.
Fully open the Control Knob and place the Handpiece in the sink. 4.
Turn the power on. 5. allow solution to run through the
Hydro-Flo™ until empty. 6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 again with
clean water to flush the antiseptic from the system.
